What's the rear drive flange

'twas **** stuck under my brake pads from where I got stuck in mud, a few hard braking moments seems to have cleared that up ......... Jack up a front wheel and tried to turn it ...... It moved but took a lot of grunt to do it

It's squealing like a serpentine belt does when the bearings going in the idle pulley

There's no skipping on lock at all in either direction that I can detect ..... When I had a jeep it was very prominent in both feel and noise, but on this other than the squeaking noise seems fine ......

I did and they said it was just a naggered cv joint .......

It has only started making this noise since they changed the CV joint

So how do I get it there then

Squealing like a pig from front end now just had occasion to use it since I got it back yesterday, louder on offside and seems to move across to the near side as you go round bends , gets quieter when you brake but still there none the less

I can only imagine it had gone a long time before either I or the dealer had the car for it to have been unnoticed

Never heard a thing not a squeak

Right all sorted it was the offside CV joint had spewed its internals in to the cv boot and was no longer turning the wheel ........ All done same day FOC ......... Wonderful service from woodside

An indie in Bedfordshire ....... Will leave it at that till its sorted

Land rovers are all they sell ..... Family business for years

Have pointed that out to them ....... They are looking for both cause and what it's actually broken

Rang dealer this morning, explained what had happened, he said leave car with us and we will get it sorted f.o.c. Will call u when it's done ........ Very pleasant... Lets see what happens from here:D:D

Think I may be up creek without a paddle now ......... Can find everything ins, mot,log book but not the bill of sale, can the day get any better ..... Think I will have an early night before anything else fcuks up ........ Ooh look its the 13 th ...... Mmmmmm I wonder

Will be having a chat with the dealer tomorrow see what he's prepared to do before I start any kind of action ..... To be honest I would prefer a repair/ replace course of action rather than my money back, as I would have to go thru the rigmarole of finding another one and who's to say that...

Anybody recommend a repair shop local to Milton Keynes should I have no joy with where I bought it
