    I think antiburst has something to do with doors coming open under stress and chassis flex when heavily loaded, think it was the militaary that had the prob to start with, though i'm sure someone else on here can say for def! not exactly sure how you'd tell them apart though sorry!

    Ok then, anyone know where i can get a decent deal on swivels balls for a series 3 with all the seals, bearing etc? i know there are lost of places to look but was wandering if anyone has seen a good deal anywhere! Also, what size nuts and bolts are needed to fix everyting to the axle housing...

    Oh and while i'm here why is there a hole cut in the passenger side of the tunnel with a big rubber grommet in it? It doesnt appear to access much, never noticed as was covered up! ta!

    Ok i've taken everything out and.....there is a bit of leakage from around the rods that move in and out when moving the gear lever, which is not a lot but looks responsible for the runs down the side of the 'box. However its not enough to be losing what i'm losing! i think i may have a seal...

    Got a set of bottom brackets from paddocks seem to be good quality and fitted without much trouble after the spot welds were removed! If possible it would be easier and cheaper to just cut off the lower part of the bracket where the bolt goes through and weld the new on in its place, all depends...

I havnt attempted owt like gearboxes , but we gotta start somewhere it'l stil drive with no floor, be a bit flinstoney but the local garage guy is quite helpful!     Thinking about it it does seem that the trasnfer box is filling more than i put in it! Always runs out when i open it! But not a lot! it is such an obvious run down the side of the box and can be followed along, it does seem a lot of oil! I did think a dodgy seal between the transfer and gear...
