hi all i hav had my disco at a 4x4 mechanic today. he put it on ramp and said he couldnt see anything wrong underneath including wheel bearing. so he drove it and he could hear the drowning sound coming from the rear.he reckons it the diff is giving up but it does still drive smooth no grinding...

thanks for that sparks i will try that tomor. it does seem to b even wen am drive in a straight line now i hav changed the oil in the axle. but it goes on left corners its not a dead loud noise that u could hear if u was outside but i think its cos its new to me i am listening intently :D
