im on a 1999 ( T reg).. so guess could be crossover between non and EGR...?

thanks i will take a look.. the pipes im looking at are on the driver side.. from the front of the car.. a black rubber hose .. this connects to a steel pipe which bends down.. then a short ( 4-5" ) black rubber coupling hose onto the side of the engine .... make any sense to anyone ?

how do i know if i have the EGR ? sorry for sounding stupid..

Hi Guys...Bix was right, loose jubilee clip on the short vertical hose.. was blowing and eventually slipped loose from the jubilee clip... hose looks a little ' strained' around the edge.. so have tightened the jubilee clip and all is well.. However.. im now thinking maybe i should replace the...

ok,, so will go check all the clips and have a visual check.. but basically other than that it needs to go to the Mechanic with some tools etc then ?

i dont think so.. car was level when i got in it.. and the noise seams to be linked to acceleration... i.e. totally ok below 1800rpm...

Hi All, just tool the 1999 DSE to the shops this morning.. it's making a weird rushing noise ( sounds like its in front of the drivers side footwell).. under acceleration.. seams to only happen over 1800rpm.. and seams a little down on power.. although drives 'ok'.. Any ideas ? im not...

not sure if that's normal.. but least it gives you options now !! happy with my Black Alcantera type fabric as posted by Gfromleeds ( cheers mate).. and would work well for you as the shading kind of means it's not solid black..

yeah, already did that when i looked befor unfortunately... i fixed the loose wire which what why the button wasnt activating the rest of the car... so now that works... but the button dosent raise or lower, so must be something else..
