Mine split a couple of times. But by putting a small cable tie on the cut off ends seemed to have stopped it happening again

Update. Fault cured by replacing the trinary pressure switch

I have an import from Hong Kong. Like you say it's rot free and still only done 70k The cylinder liner still slipped tho ! Something's never change ;-)

Crank position sensor ? Not sure if theres an adjustable air gap.

Thats an eye opener. I live in TA5 which is a quiet set of villages and I've not heard about any car crimes to speak of. TA6 is cheaper which is a larger town etc that I'm always hearing about car crime. More likely they think us in the sticks can afford more :-/

Cheers wammers. I've changed that switch on my old dse. You don't lose the gas when you do. The ac guy that had the gauges on it last week didn't report any blockages. He just felt the constant cycling on/off was wrong but he wasn't genned up on the rr system

Fans are all or nothing. One of the metal pipes to the compressors gets red hot. Then the compressor kicks in for around 5 secs the other pipe becomes freezing cold. The air con pipes are a uniform temp all along.

Update. I bypassed the compressor thermal cut out which made no difference. Is there any merit in changing the twin wire pressure switch?
