had time to have a look at the engine today , found these faults , FPR vaccume hose was split/broken , had no gasket on the plenum , breather hoses were gunked up , so have cleaned hoses , replaced FPR pipe and sealed plenum , have fitted new idle control valve, running a lot better now ...

not sure yet , but was thinking next too the clock, the previous owner fitted a screen for dvd player (doesn't work), need to check its got enough room behind it first, will post some pics up when its done

ive already got a double din head unit, that I was going to fit which will be ok, then was just going to replace speakers in each door then some 6x9 speakers in the spare space either side of the boot (stealth , not visible) , also sub and amp in that space, I already have sub and amp and...

think I might completely start again with sound system then, as want to fit a double din head unit with sat nav/tv etc.. so think it might be easier to just put my own new speakers/amp in , as had another look and wiring has been bodged by previous owners , cheers

too late lol , ive just been outside and pried it open with a knife and disconnected it , it wouldn't work or respond to pressing buttons, ( it was a flip down dvd player) noise has stopped , so that's one less thing that could of been draining it :), cheers

not sure tbh , i'm going to have a look at it , as i think this could be whats causing the drain , as when i first got the car it didn't drain the battery , but i pressed some buttons on that thing and ever since then ive had battery drain , ( the sunroof works fine) thanks

I thought it was something to do with the sunroof? do you have sunroofs aswell? this p38 is driving me mad , only had it a couple of weeks lol

thanks for reply's the engine is fitted in my series 1 , when i removed engine from range rover there was a long vacuum hose going to some air tank /ball thing , what does that thing do , could it be something to do with it ?

don't really have neighbor's close enough, but have WiFi and gate opening remote , could these cause it?, also with the blue wire disconnected , will the key fob/remote , still work , what negatives is there with doing this ? thanks

Thanks for the reply's Done a search on the disconnecting the blue wire, If I do this will my locks burn out? Will it effect anything else? So if I disconnect white plug to receiver , and leave for a few days and battery doesn't go flat , all I need to get is the new updated receiver and fit...

I have a W reg 4.6 vogue , only just bought the p38 , and the battery will only last a couple of days , and then is totally flat , could this be a bad battery or something else , when locked there is a red led flashing all the time? thanks
