Hi all, noticed some funny noises today whilst driving, and looking for your input :) When in second gear, going up to third, when i re-engaged the clutch, i can hear a clunk sound (Well actually it sounds more like 2 metal discs being slapped together) Clutch failing maybe? Or perhaps damaged...

I have valve guide wear..... Sheet! I already know that happens lol, Ok, is it an at home fix, or take to a mechanic kind of job? Also, do you know what sort of costs I'm looking at?

Checked lift pump, No visible leaks or from filter, I had a compression test done at a local garage a few months ago, and they said all is as it should be too. How do I check valve guides? Easy thing to do?

Hey, I'm still trying to solve my smokey problem, so going through everything slowly, but what led me to believe it may be the injectors, is the stench of rich diesel. Not so bad if all the windows are closed, but when open it honks! I've no idea what non EDC is, but it is a manual :) 300tdi...
