It's the plate above the transfer box, it's a defender 90

The plate above where a middle seat would go in the cab area gets extremely hot while driving! Is this normal? If not then why is it getting so hot? Thanks

I didn't find another wire on the oil filter housing so Still looking for the oil temperature gauge sensor. Didn't have much luck tracing the wires from the rear of the dash gauge. Can anyone ID the white wire at the lower centre of this photo?

I used Craddocks as well, they supplied me with everything I needed. Give them a call and they will tell you. I already had a double belt pulley on my ex MOD defender, my local garage had no problems fitting it all ( I didn't have the time).m As the Defenders of my Defenders era had power...

I'm in exactly the same boat. Bought my Land Rover to have "Adventures" in it, but I don't want to damage it. It's too pretty!

I'm not going to bother with sound proofing etc, going to try to keep it original as possible. Might spruce up the rear floor with a bit of paint but that's about it.

Got the freedom of information reply from the MOD. Not much detail in it. Served with an Artillery air mobile detachment, then 5 Regiment Royal Artillery and then 202sq Royal Logistics Corps.

Yes original quote was for one side but I took a gamble on them and asked for both. Just as well as the drivers side was rotting well.

The idea was to get rid of the rot. Both sides were rotting. The original MOD plate was very crude but purposeful. The garage took it upon themselves to recreate the ridges on the underside to keep it looking original, I had supplied a flat piece. Personally I think it's great work and I'm very...
