What other wing mirrors fit the earlier Freelander since I have the ones in the photo and just managed to break my 2nd left hand one by getting too close to a hedge due to it not folding. I looked at the later folding ones but the fittings seem slightly different and don't seem to bolt straight on?

Well after sealing the roof shut again with better tape it still leaked so took some of the plastic trim off to find the leak and looks like the sun roof is FUBAR.

Is the HDC electrics the switch on gear stick only or is there some more electrics I need to investigate since the red warning light is now off since they rewired the switch but now no lights come on if you flick the switch and nothing happens?

Well the garage rewired the gearstick switch so now have no lights on panel on but it also appears the HDC still doesn't work?

Not that the garage could see. Also it now reads full again? Are Freelanders usually plagued with electrical faults since the door locks and rear window are now having senile moments and rear window opening or doors not unlocking when it feels like?

Where are the drain holes on it? Also after looking at the outside seal its in bad shape so have sealed the roof with gaffa tape until I get dryer weather to have a proper look but don't even think the electrics to the roof work since nothing happened when you push the button.

Yep Pump in tank with float gauge. It keeps either saying you have 1/4 or 1/2 less than you do then jumps to normal level then 1/4 again. I filled up last night it said full now reads 3/4 so going on the estimate that I can do 200miles before needs a refill for safety.

Turned out to be blocked fuel filter. Only problem now is that the fuel gauge wont work properly even though the pump and float are all intact?

That's a good point never thought about the loose baffles being the problem.

My freelander has always had a bit of a rasp from the back box but didn't really effect it but last night it sounded slightly louder and it was juddering and spluttering when you tried to accelerate so I'm guessing it may have a leak closer to the engine that would cause the loss of power...

Had a look today it could possibly be the Idle Control valve since as your see from the photos with the engine running the engine revs didn't change with it connected or disconnected so I guess it means its died? Where is the best place to buy a new one?

I'm more used to old 80's carburettor and choke engines so that's why I thought it was sticky choke.

I have just had very similar happen to my Freelander worked fine this AM but this PM went to go home and it wont drop below 18K which is rather annoying. Do they have a auto choke that sticks if so can you disable the choke in some way to see if it's that causing it? My HDL is on as well but...
