Managed to get a tool kit for the Freelander but only seems to come with one securing strap what am I missing on the other end where I have used a bungee?

    Removing spare wheel bracket/brake light?

Not bothered with getting hands dirty but without a tool kit at present it just sits on the back collecting dead leafs. Anyway sounds like it would cause more trouble than its worth so just have to shoot from side windows in that case and leave it where it is.

    Removing spare wheel bracket/brake light?

Would be good if it is road legal since don't see the point carrying the extra weight since these days if you get a puncher they tend to plug it at the side of the road also the car has no tool kit with it at present.

    Removing spare wheel bracket/brake light?

Never thought about the MOT side things. O well better leave it on then.

    Removing spare wheel bracket/brake light?

I was wandering can you remove the rear wheel bracket/light and somhow plug the holes so you have better rear visability. Or would it end up leaving bolts holes and electric sockets that water would get into since tried to shoot out of the back of the car once and found the spare wheel and light...

Grinding & Vibration on right turn?

Finally got around to getting this looked at in the garage and they couldn't find anything only a bent brake shield and that it needed a front ball joint so its all a bit of a mystery? But at least I know its nothing dodgy going on to worry about.

Flooded tool box under the rear floor

I give up! A few months back I stripped out the boot carpets then dried everything off and rust proofed everything and sealed every single bit around the sunken bit on the boot with silicon sealant so no way water can come in from below yet yesterday went to get something out of it and its...

Freelander 1 as a shooting vehicle?

They shouldn't make them out of tasty meat in that case ;)

Freelander 1 as a shooting vehicle?

I was wandering if there are any other Freelander 1 owners who use theirs as a shooting vehicle and if they shoot from the car since been trying to do some lamping from the boots with the seats and the rear window down only to find the high rear brake light and spare wheel get in the way. Odd...

Grinding & Vibration on right turn?

Just wandering if anyone has heard of this. For some reason on fast right turns like going round a roundabout I get a grinding and vibration possibly coming from the rear passenger side wheel. I thought it was the swing arm bush so had it changed but on fast cornering it still does it? Any...

Flooded tool box under the rear floor

I have same problem with my Freelander 1. Thought it was condensation on cubby hole lid but now I know looks like I'll be taking the carpets out (if it stops raining long enough) and attacking it with silicone sealant. So yet another water leak to seal on the car. Thanks for the Info.

    Tool kits and Jack?

My Freelander came with no tool kit or jack just the plate in the engine bay to attach it to? Not bothered if its genuine Rover Ect just functional but what do I need to make up a tool kit for it please?

    Changeing Drivers door lock?

My drivers door lock is temperamental to say the least with central locking you have to push the fob button at least 3 times before it opens being the last to unlock so thought I'd try and get a 2nd hand central locking lock but not sure how easy to remove and fit that would be? Also can I...

    Freelander Central Locking

Interesting I didn't know about all the rear window. I thought it was another thing that had gone wrong with the electrics. LOL

    Freelander Central Locking

Never knew that. But why would you need the rear window to unwind but not the door unlock? As for the drivers door it also seems to depend from which direction you point the key phob since from the front it sometimes opens the door on 1st push? How easy is it to replace door lock assembly?

    Freelander Central Locking

I have a similar problem except on the 1st push of the button the rears doors un-lock then on the 2nd longer push the drivers door un-locks and last night the tail gate window also wound down on it own for some reason. Can you reset the sequence the doors unlock from the key ring??
