Seems both my inner wings on my Disco 1 300TDi are past it. And the front body mounts look a bit shot too. Anyone in south wales good at welding this sorta thing looking for a job? ROugh estimate on price? Cheers Kev

If it was mine - id chuck it straight in. I have a 300TDi but i assume its the same, bosch VE pump, etc.

4 days? It takes 3 weeks if you dont want to ruin your engine or spend a fortune on filters. I can do around 300 litres in 3 weeks. However, my actual time spent working on that amount is around an hour, the rest of the time its left to its own devices.

Nope, i learned through trial and error (and using an old transit as an experiment). Gravity is your friend. Get barrels and taps.

I have my method, but its a closely guarded secret! There's plenty of how-to guides on the internet. A bit of research will tell you how its done. I want to build a Mighty White, thats my next project :)

Dunno. I chuck whatever i can get in. KTC Sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, whatever. Yes theres a risk. I guess if you dont accept that, run on derv;)

I use any type of liquid oil. Watch out for stuff like "Prep Maxi". its heavy on palm oil and is solid at room temp. Carry a spare fuel filter, and do regular oil changes. I do :)

Im gonna try unleaded on my next fill. Did 30 litres WVO (free!) to 15 litres derv last night, shes a little lumpy but for over 1/2 tank for £20 i can live with it :D :D

Possible. Once im up over 2200 rpm its smooth again. Problem is, 5th gear, 30-35 mph is right in that range ;) Perhaps there isnt quite enough boost to push the thicker fuel down? Thats the first explanation I have seen about this. Im wondering, as some people say shortening the actuator rod...

Never had problems starting, mine gets lumpy holding around 1800 rpm.

Have been thinking about that for a while, running a seperate tank in the boot for veg, or maybe even using the main tank for derv and a 2nd tank for WVO in the boot area. Not sure how id plumb it in though.

I pushed it to 70/30 and it went a bit lumpy, but still was OK.
