Deffo not the fob. Just unlocked with fob, jumped in, fob was on passenger seat. Old key is on the transponder, and she started.

And its not the fob. Its the transponder with the ignition.

Nah, its in the black bit of the key, nothing to do with the fob. I know this as i had the car running by holding the snapped key on the transponder and the new key in the barrel. The fob wasnt anywhere near the ignition.

Key snapped... so i got a new barrel. Problem is, the new keys are not coded to the transponder. They came with a tag with a 3 digit code on, is there a way i can put the 300tdi into program mode and register the new key? There is another way i know.. involving half the old key and tape but I...

Depends what you mean Operate. RX? Yep. TX? No. I stick around 27.555, and UK FM bands only for TX. Besides, my antenna isnt really tuned for that high/low. (and theres nobody there lol!)

Depends. bigger rigs can sometimes run more power, but its sometimes a case of all mouth no ears. Start with that and see how you go. I run these at the moment : Not quite a CB... but does 27/81 frequencies (the same your CB does) after programming.
