    diesel injector pipes and glowplugs

no, i haven't put the NGK glow plugs in yet. They cost me £50 though. Do you think i don't need them and the leaking hose is causing the starting problem? symptoms are: when the glow plug light goes out, i turn the key. the motor starts then immediately stalls. sometimes if i cycle the key two...

Hi, my 2001 dhse was difficult to start when cold so i thought i would change the glow plugs. i also smelt a faint smell of diesel ocasionally. when i removed the plastic cover above the injectors i noticed that the 'well' around the front-most injector was full of diesel. i started the engine...

    phone system for p38

Wills, Thanks for the info. i like the idea of the built in hands free kit. Why do you need the nokia CK 7W kit though? it looks like the'dashmount' wiring loom plays the telephone through your speakers and mutes the stereo. where is the microphone section? sorry, i'm really thick when it comes...

central locking has a mind of its own!

Does anyone know why my central locking on 2001 P38 Dhse has a mind of its own. Whilst driving along, the locks will sometimes lock and unlock randomly. Does anyone else suffer from this or have any idea why it happens. thanks

    2001 DHSE servicing

I have recently bought a 62000 mile 2001 DHSE auto. It has a farly complete service record from land rover up to 52000 miles. The last service at 60,000 has been done by an independant specialist and included oils, filters and brake pads. I'm a little concerned that there may be belts or chains...

P38 front fogs on DHSE auto

Thanks for the info Wills. It was from a cosmetic point of view that i was looking at fog lights. i don't have nudge bars so that idea is out. I might consider the conversion kit if i could find one. Will

Is it not just called cairngorm after the range of mountains in Scotland. A bit like a friend of mine has a discovery called Serengeti.

    Rodent

Hi All, I have just broken my land rover 'virginity' by buying a 2001 range rover DHSE. I'm new to 4 x 4 ownership and looking for general advice. My rangey has 62000 miles on it and i'm not sure what it may need it terms of servicing. it has had recent oil/filter type services but nothing...
