    Vcu

I was told by Bell engineering to drive it for 12 miles then feel the VCU. If it feels very hot, it could be on the way out.

    Terminally I'll Freelander Td4 2004 ?

Get your son to check the fuel pump first. Read the threads before this one. They will help locate it. If that's not doing what it should do, that's the easy one to fix. Any other should be looked at by some one who knows about cars. Good luck

    Vcu

Done 50,000 and felt tight pulling away, on lock and reversing. As if the hand brake was on a few clicks. Why, do you have a problem with yours?

    Steering column play

Hi all. Notice a bit of play, side to side in the steering column on my 2001 Freelander. Seems to be the bottom bush in the column near the foot pedals. Any one else had this problem and how did you fix it. Cheers for now

    Noise at 70.

Hi. Thanks for the info. The front tyres are low and near to the end of their life. They have more wear on the inner edge. The rear's are nearly new. So, if I was to get two new tyres, put these on the rear and bring the rear's to the front ? Jon

Thanks for that. Its ok to try this then ? How far can you drive like that ? If its that problem, is this a costly repair? Cheers for now Jon

    Noise at 70.

Good evening all. Just brought a 1.8 2001 3 door Freelander. Took it for the test drive around the town. Drove well. Paid the money and took it home. On the way back, driving down the M6, I heard a noise when I get to 70 MPH. Sound like a whining noise coming front low down. Any ideas ...
