    Hi cap hinges

Just about to do mine this week. Picked up one from a scrapper as want to take the hard canopy off mine that has double doors on. On mine there is 'notches' cut in the 'sill' type area where the studs are sited so you can get a spanner or shallow socket on them. Welcome to come over...

    Hicap fuel filler hose Q?!

My 130 hicap is leaking a tad from the bottom of the fuel filler neck/hose. I have not taken a pic yet but the main filler hose that connects to the body joins into a metal pipe of the same diameter (this has metal breather that comes out of it but it has been blocked off with a piece of hose...

    Hicap hinge piccie please!

Taking the canopy off my 130 hicap and putting on a tailgate. The canopy is an Ali/fibreglass one with doors in same layout as a wardrobe. I have a hicap tailgate on order but am just wondering how the catches latch into the body. Can someone put up a pic of the body where the tailgate catches...

    130 Hard Top Canopy

Am taking the canopy off as dont need it on full time and have bought brand new stick and tilt for when I need cover. From an cw cab 130 ex-utilities truck, retains HCPU rear pick up load bed but this bolts onto sides etc. Rear doors are two in 'wardrobe' door style. Made from fibreglass...

Been burned by an Ebayer motor trader.... any comebacks?

The whole 'sold as seen' thing is a crock regardless if it applies to this advert (ie if theseller has used the phrase). As well as the stirling advice/legal pointers you have been given, in the advert it states " drives great" The car is also being 'sold by description' (google legal side of...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

You believe a troll uses long words to sound clever? Bless. Fun is subjective, one mans 'smegging drill bits' is another mans chuckle brothers......................... *I showed this thread to my 13 yr old earlier and asked him if he found any of the long words too hard to read or...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

Been busy............. In total agreement with above, hence ordering a few spares to get my pulse timing kit up and running again:) On a slightly different note, do you know how hard it is to find a decent set of suitable 145' nozzles ? Working on it though......

    Setting pump lift with DTi

You can not see how 'optimal running' as you put it, is achieved even thr the application of very basic maths/science/academia? You (third person narrative) do it on a daily basis, constantly. Do you know that? Optimal running and 'academia' of sorts go hand in hand. I am more...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

If its not hit and miss then presumably you have a quantifiable way of achieving and measuring the results? As previous, i want/like to find out 'numbers' as this will help qualify the results more than the Mk1 Seat of Pants Dyno.:)

    Setting pump lift with DTi

So no it doesn't but then does when it angles slightly? This thread is rapidly becoming hard work and straying away from the original Q! I was/am looking for a direct answer as to if anyone had any hard and fast numbers that are achieved in some sort of quantifiable way. Everyone has...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

Oh, just one more thing..............:D Anyone got the Bosch part number of an auto pump? Just wondering if rotor heads differ in size? (Some marques fit bigger rotor head to the auto):)

    Setting pump lift with DTi

At last, this is the 5hit I'm talking about willis! :D However, it relies on whoever puts the drill bit in not being a gipper and putting it in straight ( as per previous parallax comment) and understanding your above post about how the position of a 8mm pin say can effect timing. Daz...

    Modulars/Hankook Dynapros MTs

Apologies for not pointing out to the innumerate that 5mm is low tread.;) To get the advert back on track............. Had a look on rims and can't see any markings at all for ET etc, will try and put a straight edge across them but with tyres fitted it will be a guesstimate. Will try and...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

Blimey, you lot up on blocks this week? It would appear in the absence of anyone else doing it, one will have to. Done with dti or pulse? ;)

    Setting pump lift with DTi

Cheers for your input chap. I think i am asking fairly reqsonable/sensible Qs- no need to get emotional over it. Am au fiat with how to tinker with the pump settings, was just hoping that someone, somewhere would have an actual quantifiable number. Increasing plunger lift to 1.6 is less than...

    Setting pump lift with DTi

:D like your way of thinking! If it smokes, its nowt to do with nozzle size or pump settings, just means the turbo is too small:D Using smaller 'rods' gives no quantifiable adjustment, no more than scoring pump body/mount and give it the sort of tap you save for Doris when she finishes the...
