    (too) cheap snorkel?

Has anyone had any experience with these? I get the feeling it's just a little bit to good to be true, but on the other hand it's just moulded plastic so can there really be all that much wrong with them?

    Just seen something classy

From the fleabay description: "IT HAS GOT HIGH MILLAGE OFF 220000 BUT THIS IS BECAUSE THE ECU HAS BEEN CHANGED WITH A RECALIBRATED ONE FROM A DIFFENT CAR AT SOME TIME" ORL?

    air con checks

Worth checking on system for leaks immediately after - otherwise you might be up for another refill very shortly..... A lot of aircon specialists will refill and then check for you FOC within a week or so

What have you done to your Landie today.

Should do that fairly easily i would think. i'm just waiting for some sun now so I can see what it's capable of! i've bought on the premise that it'll keep my coolbox ticking over - that's a 35W input at 3A and the panel is rated at 40, so hopefully i'll be on to a winner.:cool2:

What have you done to your Landie today.

It's polycarb rather than glass so probably, but tbh there's enough room up there for everything else so not too concerned. And lets be honest - it won't work so well if you cover it......

Used chips away on my last motor for a few car park muppet scratches and they were brilliant - highly recommended!

Alternative to magnetic signs for a defender?

Some cheap tin sheet on the inner side of the landy panel should do the trick - depends on how strong the magnetic signs are!

    Diff guards or steering/sump guard??

I'm not complaining about the advice, believe me! Given that I'm not all that mechanically able, I think i'll start with the steering guard if that's the most damaged bit, then work on her indoors for the diff guards. As for tyres - I think i'd have a hard time explaining that away whilst the...

Finally justified my defender last night

I went out looking for flooding yesterday - no dice. ah well, maybe this winter....

    Diff guards or steering/sump guard??

aaarghhh! So many opinions!! - perhaps i need to start nagging the missus and just buy both! And then some bigger tyres....

    Diff guards or steering/sump guard??

That was the opinion of a mate of mine - but someone else i know with a defender swears that the steering is the weakest point and as such needs the most protection, and that the diff pans on a defender are very strong already??

    Diff guards or steering/sump guard??

S'ok - I spend my not so hard-earned cash on that already

    Diff guards or steering/sump guard??

In your opinion, which one is the most important purchase? I'll not likely be off-roading often, but I've been greenlaning regularly and intend to continue, and have felt the diff's scrape on occasion whilst in deep ruts. I'm fairly new to Land Rovers, and I'm petrified of damaging my...

There's also the manufacturer's (Blue Sea) installation instructions here which include a good wiring diagram for a completed system.
