as above check inlet manifold gasket, the sump is sealed with a silicon compound so when you remove the sump just scrape off the old stuff and put new on,as reguards removing the sump it is quite easy. you need to lift the car high enough to work underneath support the car on axle stands (under...

having to remove the engine on our 300 tdi disco to do the clutch.have the chance of buying a one ton sealey crane. could any one tell me if this is a safe capacity, as i have a young lad helping me and i do not want to take any risks with his safety. any advice would be very much welcome. ron.

managed to get ours in the garage ready for the new clutch, the bloomin clutch release fork went poop so i thought i might as well do the lot, ah well, back to volvo driving till i get the time to sort it.:mad:

just managed to get ours back into the garage due to clutch failure, rods gone through the release fork:eek: gearbox out me thinks:confused: ah well, back to the trusty volvo till i can ba arsed to drop the box. ron.

with big lad.on this, my off side swivel had a bit of play wich i found whilst doing the pre mot checks, reduced the shims by one (still got one left) cured the problem. ron.
