What have you done to your Landie today.

took her greenlaning with my generals on this time had good fun untill the panhard rod bracket snapped off the axle and brought me to a hugely shakey stop. just so glad it did it then and not while towing or cruising down the a14 at 70. so had to borrow the work's recovery truck to get her home...

    Soham area laning 16/11/14

:multiply::behindsofa: don't think i'll live that one down. at least it was a fender that pulled me out blackstrat I would keep the 90 as ATKO says they are only going up in value. by tall thin tyres do you mean something like 7.50x16? I've got a set of them :D

these are what I've got they seem quite good in mud and they behave well on the road untill it gets wet then they squirm everywhere but they are quite a hard tyre so it's not really surprising I'm just after another 8 spoke steel to fit the spare to so I have a matching set as my spare is on a...

    Soham area laning 16/11/14

yeah puncture repair ease. I can do it at home or if I have my levers and patches I can even do it on the side of the road :D got no hope with a tubeless and it can only be done within a certain area unlike tubes

wouldn't get much for them really second hand tyres don't get that much and I wouldn't have the cash to put towards the new tyres so I' keeping them for offroading just didn't think the lanes would be as challenging as they were with road tyres

What have you done to your Landie today.

they do the job though. I haven't had any problems with them holding my cavs tow bar and they are free of corrosion so I can remove the towbar when I don't need it without the rust issues.

that's not a bad price I'm looking at about £500ish for a set of 265/70R16 so I have managed to acquire the generals that should be about £600 new. only downfall is that they are tubed and don't like being run at normal road speeds, they get warm and the tubes end up chaffing and going down so...

What have you done to your Landie today.

got rescued by Topcat (cheers) as my tow hitch tried to break free with a 16ft car trailer and car on the back. all bolts are now renewed with A4 marine spec bolts so shouldn't have to have that happen again.
