    Which brake pipe flaring tool/kit?

You lot have done this to me before! I was considering a cheap MIG welder but the forum convinced me to shell out on a 151TE - you're bad news for budgets :p I'm not too worried about the lifespan of the tool, I only need it once but I need the flares to be perfect - I'll need them a lot...

What was the last "proper" Landy?

True about the 90 and 110, before turbo's came along.

What was the last "proper" Landy?

Can't seem to edit the actual poll - doh!

What was the last "proper" Landy?

I'd love a Series one, with no roof or door tops and the screen folded down! Not great for commuting though... :D I should have added that as an option - how do I amend the poll?

What was the last "proper" Landy?

Should have also asked, why? I think a Landy should take you to the end of the world and back, and be fixed in the middle of nowhere with duct tape and bailing twine... so for me it's the 200/300tdi Having said that, there's no reason you shouldn't arrive in comfort so the Puma is still in the...

What was the last "proper" Landy?

So with the Defender destined for the history books and it's replacement looking like Barbies beach buggy I wonder if this is the end of Land Rover as we know it? Or maybe the end has already been... There's a bit of a debate around the interwebs over what was the last "proper" Landy, so...

    Is it Ex MOD?

Stick your VIN in here and see what it comes up with, this will tell you the model. Or have a look on page 3 of the LR manual, it gives a list of what vehicle each VIN was. As for what body shape/doors etc I'm not sure but interested in the answer :)

    Which brake pipe flaring tool/kit?

Howdy, The time has come to fit new brake lines, I intend to make my own so will need a cutting/flaring kit. I've had a bit of a search and it seems that Sykes Pickavant is the best around, however I have two problems with this: 1: I don't have a vice 2: I'm not loaded! What is the second...

    Is it Ex MOD?

The shape of the military cross member is different to the civvy version, not much help if it's a new chassis though as it could be either.

Can you build a "new" series?

Me neither, just wondered if it was theoretically possible... a brand new 14 plate series 1 would be kinda cool though... Didn't LR make an improved series with coils, discs and even air con? :p

Can you build a "new" series?

Would it have a 14 plate then (or whatever the current plate is when you build it)?
  17. F

Can you build a "new" series?

Not that you ever would as I can't see any benefit, but in theory, is it possible to build a new series? It's possible to buy most (all?) parts of a series new, so if you stuck them together could you end up with a 14 plate series? I obviously have no idea how the registration system works...

    Taking bump stops off?

Are they bump stops or spring helpers? As above, they ain't standard... If it's resting on it already removing it may make the spring sag further

    Question about Lightweight Chassis

I have a 2.25 diesel and am looking for a 200tdi :-D gimme a shout if you're interested in either. 2a's are still sought after, not as much as a lightweight but I wouldn't go chopping bits up to fit coils and discs :-)
