Floflex vs Superpro - not the usual question !!

I agree, iI would prefer the standard rubber ones for the ride quality. But now i have poly's and will stick to them just because they are very easy to replace. Even thought of buying the very soft PolyBushes (blue I thing?) and accept having to replace a bit more often.

Floflex vs Superpro - not the usual question !!

Thx JM, I assume anyone with a different view would have revealed themselves by now :) I will go ahead without considering new bolts ..

Floflex vs Superpro - not the usual question !!

Years ago I fitted floflex bushes on my td5 90. The bushes are getting inflexible and I'm looking to fit new SuperPro bushes. However I also fitted new bolts when the floflex bushes were fitted. As I remember some of the bolts had different diameter compared to the original bolts (intended for...

Defender cruise control not working with 1.2 ratio transfer box

So here we go. The cruise control works fine now. I fitted a new frc3313 to the transfer box .. It did the trick. Only problem now is a 10% misreading on the speedometer ..

    Best road tyre?

Thanks for the input guys, Coopers could be an option...! In terms of the AT2's. They do well in snow but not deep snow. Then I would prefer MTs. Ive siped my AT2 which helped a lot on both noice and grip in wet + light snow.

    Best road tyre?

I currently have General Grabber AT2 265s fitted. However whitin the next year I probably need to get a new set of tires. As I most often just drive on tarmac I consider going back to some road tires which have good milages. I know it will be difficult to compete with the AT2 which have now...

    Td5 Remap

I believe (without knowing) that most td5's have a potential to raise the turbo pressure - even without the boost box. I experienced being able to raise the inlet manifold pressure to 230+ kpa (Nanocom) without going into limp mode - thus not requiring the boost-box. I agree raising the boost...

    Td5 Remap

I have a re-map. larger intercooler, removed EGR, boost-box, silicone hoses, different air filter. It rund really sweet, with very limited black smoke. It's estimated to have 175 bhp so the bhp does not come that easy. I imagine you may be able to get around 175 with a re-map only - but then you...

Defender cruise control not working with 1.2 ratio transfer box

... you hit the nail. ' .. if you could figure out where it was in the coding' This is the challenge. As I was told, there is no obvious link in the coding which connects the rev and road speed.

Defender cruise control not working with 1.2 ratio transfer box

Hey KillaJoules, You are right, this is what Ive learned too. I am for sure not interested in a £400 kit .. The DIY option (wires + switches is less than £10) is obvious - except it does not work ... :) There has to be an alternative for less money.. Lars

Defender cruise control not working with 1.2 ratio transfer box

I understand that fitting a cruise control to a Defender can be a problem if it has a Disco transfer box fitted (1.2 ratio). I'm actually in the progress of completing a DIY version of the cruise control so I've not yet been able to confirm the problem. However, there are a few threads out...
