Correct me if i'm wrong here, but doesn't the td5 have an extra cylinder ? 5 opposed to 4 in the tdi . If so, thats where the extra fuel is going.

The fuel pump gets its power from the ignition switch & shouldn't run when the key is turned to the off position.

£1800 for road tax ? That would put Land Rover out of buisiness. What about the Ferrari's, bentley's, rollers etc? Would they exempt from the tax hike ?

This is the very reason i come away from the motor trade 15 years ago ! There were too many backstreet cowboys ripping folk off then, but it seems as though they've moved premises, into what looks like reputable buisinesses on the front street ! Obviously they hadn't a clue what they were doing...

Hi there everyone. I'm Dave, 40 & an ex mechanic living in sunny Lancs but moving back home to sunnier & drier Scotland in a few weeks. Just bought my first landy, a 98 plate, 70,000 miles disco v8 gs on lpg. It needs a few bits n bobs tidying...read replaced lol, hopefully not take long to sort...

My 3.9 is fitted with 2x 35lt tanks mounted underneath the floor, but doesn't do much for the ground clearance . So far, i've done 90 miles on a fill & i'v still got 4 lights on the control box.
