    My 88in Trialer

It's efi, I turned on the isolator and ignition but didn't start engine, no +12v at pump. Does the "brain" turn it on and off then?

    My 88in Trialer

On both occasions I've taken the trialer out to play I've ended up stalling whilst attempting steep, long climbs. I thought it was me, but on inspection of the fuel system it seems the in-line electric fuel pump near the fuel tank is only getting +12volts whilst the starter button is held in...

Disco 1 Back Door Retaining Strap

Having sailed through it's recent MOT needing just 2 anti-roll bar drop links and no advisories the delightful disco is now paying me back! I noticed the other day that there was nothing to stop the pin in the bottom of the rear door frame dropping throgh - this is the one that has one end of...

    Disco 1 Tyre Thoughts

All, I've been running Malatesta Kaiman's (205R16 mud terrains like the Insa Turbu Special Track) on after market steel wheels on my Disco for most of the year, my usage includes Tyro Trialling and Green Laning. With the purchase of our CCV car (which will be receiving the Kaiman's) I'm thinking...

Disco 1 Heated rear window switch light coming on by itself

Just to complete the story - I got a second-hand relay from eBay (searching using the reference number on the relay body), issue has gone (for the time being!) - one lives and learns :)

Disco 1 Heated rear window switch light coming on by itself

Checked wiring diagram in my Haynes manual and there is a permanent live feed to the relay, will get a replacement and see if fault persists...

Disco 1 Heated rear window switch light coming on by itself

Hello, I went out to my 300Tdi yesterday and heard a relay chattering without the key in the ignition. The light in the heated rear window switch was going on and off too. I removed the switch and could still hear the chattering. I guess I can remove the relay temporarily but that still doesn't...

    My 88in Trialer

Hello jai-landrover, you are not the first person to suggest the Disco swap, will keep my eyes open for the parts! Yes I'm with Breckland, have been entering Tyro's so far, if I get it finished will be entering my first CCV on Sunday.

    My 88in Trialer

Having got the ball joint almost sorted, I managed to open the spring gaiter that secures the boot :( guess it might be possible to reconnect it but to be safe I've ordered a second kit of parts locally to help me complete the job by the weekend.

    My 88in Trialer

Yup, ruddy thing refuses to release :( can get both thends to move with circlip pliers but the rest of the ring won't shift. Any ideas? Have been drenching it in WD40!

    My 88in Trialer

Recently purchased 88in trialler, based on Range Rover running gear - 3.5l V8 fuel injected with auto gear box and borg-warner transfer box. This photo taken at pay-n-play day - our first time on the rough stuff in it - pretty pleased with it but need to get a smaller steering wheel as my leg...

Other Identifying Source of Trialer Parts

Hello All, I hope it's OK to talk about a trialer (ruddy auto correct keeps changing that!!) in this section, I'm told most of the parts came from a Range Rover! That's the key to my question really, I'm in the process of buying an off road trailer to enable me to enter club CCV competitions, it...

    Snorkel

Hello Having found some rather large lumps of mud under my air filter I'm about to fit a safari type snorkel to my 300Tdi (non ABS), have got one from ebay (item num 111072628256). My disco has no front wheel arch liners, would it be a good idea to blank off the original air intake hole in the...

    Disco 1 Volt meter

I finally got round to fitting a digital volt meter to my 300Tdi at the weekend. The meter came from eBay (item no 350809740588 looks similar). Easing off the panel containing the electric wing mirror control, I removed the faceplate and some of the material to the left of the joystick to mount...

    North Suffolk Newbie

Hello everyone, picked up my first Land Rover at the weekend - a 1997 Discovery. Already got my hands dirty trying to fix some lighting issues, guess that going to be the way from now on!
