Dropped new alternator ,in works fine, started her up again today, fired up straight away, Bled power steering, mounted a few things on. Rear crank seal was weeping a little so have to take the gearbox off again today, get flywheel case off, will have to get a new seal put in. really annoyed...

yeah all worked no problem before,had problem the disco too, battery light on when ignition off. I have a battery isolator too.

got all pipes extended and fitted, radiator moved, fuel pipes hooked up, re done wiring for front lights got it posh loom tubing, all lights working, only problem is alternator / charge is on when ignition off, looks light a new alternator, got a lucas one from a transit that I can stick on...

I have a fuel filter heat exchanger going spare that goes between the fuel filter and the housing for it, means running 100% veg is okay, need to use glow plugs in winter though.

what sort of wattage are the spot lamps?

Yes, as long as you're not drawing to much current from the side lights, sounds like a good plan wiring then into a feed from the main beams.

yeah, would be good for someone with a hybrid project or a Frankenstein. The adapter plates cost around £300 with the chassis mounts.

this requires days of work. probably sanded through about 10 different grits. not to mention polishing

I think i also need to sort some seals, I wouldn't exactly describe my series as rain proof either. I need to sort replace pretty much every bit of rubber trim, they are either missing, perished or damaged.
