Hi My car is a 2002 td4 and when I took the vcu off it was stamped 02 and mine has done 120000 miles but if it had been reconditioned before I got it it could have come off any car.So the number does not mean anything.

Hi The motto is to make sure you mark the prop flanges at both ends before removing. The place that removed my prop said they had marked it but they had not. So it proves that the old way of removing a prop and making sure you mark it is right.
