ok, will be very carefull, will i get away without replaceing the head gasket, it looks in good condition, i needed the car for the weekend and cant wait for 1 to be deliverd

i got a 94 disco with 150.000, took the head off today to retrieve a broken glow plug, all original hone marks are still there, good engines but as mr nice you do get oily sometimes

no its well stuck, taken head off now and still struggling to get it out without damaging the valves or anything gona go and buy a rubber mallet

my flat mates a dj and looking for a galaxy for when he gets his license back so he go a while to play with it, il ask him when he gets home.

no not really, that bracket that hold the manifold on was a pain in the arse but apart from that all looks good, 1 little score on 1 of the bores but nothing serious original honeing marks where still there and all looks in fairly good, still didnt get the tip of glow plug out its stuck tight il...

ok thanks, i got head off today then ran out of light, hopefully will be back on tomorow

its not magnetic, am gona take the head off, does anyone know the torqe settings for the head

Thanks, i always take it slow iv got a bad habit of sheering bolts, a copy of that software would be usefull for the futur or whats it called il find it on net and download it, i got a copy of memorymap downloading at mo with all uk maps, its good what you can find for free if you look deep enuf:)

they are working fine, i now have another problem i took out 1 of the glow plugs to check and see if it had any change with new plugs and it broke off leaving the tip inside and i cant get it out, would leaving it running for a bit and some WD40 blow it out or do more damage than good, if not do...

Hi does anyone no where i can get a tutorial for taking off the head on my 200tdi, av got the problem with a broken glow plug, have try'd the suggestions on here apart from starting the engine i cant afford for it to go wrong, so im gonna take the head off and do it that way but never done it...

no definatly oil, it was close to dripping off the plugs

wheel bearings ok, iv havnt got a clue with the others so will have to get someone to look at that for me, thanks

changed my glowplugs yesterday, when i took the old ones out they were all coverd in black oil, i no they shouldnt be like that does anyone no why thanks.

anyone got an old standard disco 1 front bumper they want to donate, i took the plastic **** off mine yesterday to reveal the corners are nearenuf not there completly rusted away
