Right,
Did a test on the K Bus wire today at the EAS ECU. I have 12v, and it rises when the RR is started :(
So, tried pulling each fuse. Has no effect. Also the 12v is static regardless of ignition on or off! Does anyone know where in the car the joint X10466 and X10116 is? I see from a...
Then how else can it be diagnosed? Apart from ripping the car to pieces and checking every length of wire? I have a very odd fault. Most people with this problem also have other lights on. I can’t communicate with the ABS and Air bag modules. Yet I can talk to the rest. You will note from other...
Thanks. That link deals with post 2005 L322’s and mine is an 02.
I have the parts coming from a trader in Somerset who specialist in range rovers. They have assured me that the parts are perfectly functional. They also had this problem and was caused by the loom to the airbag ECU being...
That’s a pleasant response, seeing as people have these problems and never post the fixes, it would be helpful to know! I have posted a thread with my own problems. I did not post my problems in here, simply asked if it was fixed.
Jeez.
All the parts are coming from a breakers and are being returned if they don’t fix it. We have an agreement ;)
I have been through every thread on here, tried everything people have done before including unplugging various ECU’s & components. Nothing is working so replacing the ABS ECU is the...
Update, replacement instrument cluster didnt solve it. Now ABS ECU is winging its way here for delivery tomorrow. Will try that. If that doesnt fix it, the centre console is coming out to find the Airbag ECU as thats the other one i cant communicate with!
Interesting read.
I also found a LR tech bulletin which went through testingthe supply to the EAS ECU and the can bus wires to the instrument pack, thenthe instrument pack to the OBD port. All checked out fine. The last step was if it checked out fine to replace the speedo (if it tested...
Would that stop me reading other ECU’s? I can access the ABS, SAS etc. I have noted in the wiring diagrams that the ABS and instrument cluster have both can bus wires labelled x18835 and x18836, the EAS ECU however is labelled x18826 and x18827. How is the CAN bus wired? I have a second hand EAS...
I don’t think you quite get what I’m on about. I’ve been on several diagnostics, both land rover specialist and my own Snap On Verus plus another. None can talk to the EAS ECU. All come up with communication errors. Either the can bus has a broken wire or my EAS ECU is faulty. I’ve now tried...
simple as the title. L322, when should the compressor kick in?
Mine currently kicks in for a few seconds when the ignition is turned on. No engine running, just ignition on. Is that correct or should it not kick in until engine is running. It runs for these few seconds. I’m still trying to...
Don’t know but he said there is no reason he shouldn’t of been able to connect to it unless I had a fault. They are quite a big specialist in Land Rover
so today I phoned a local landy specialist. Took the l322 over and he couldn’t access the EAS either.
So he very kindly printed me the wiring diagram for the EAS ECU.
So symptoms I have are:
She leans to the right. Front and back drivers side are both low but not on bump stops. EAS is in...
Had it to a local specialist today. He can’t communicate with the EAS ECU either. Suggest maybe checking the wiring and printed off the diagrams for me. I’ve ordered a second hand EAS ECU to have a go with. I cannot for the life of me find the headlight levelling module. It is not behind the...
How does one check it? The ABS appears to be functioning perfectly well. Nothing in the diagnostics to say otherwise. I did ironically remove the main plug from it earlier amongst many other check of fuses etc. Now when I turn the ignition on I can hear the air suspension compressor running for...
