my 4.2 lse did the same - no spark from the coil. i played with the wires from the amp on the side of the dizzy and checked the trigger inside. the amp was kaput. coincidence??? new amp and it worked. and may be worth checking fuses!

got a janspeed stainless system with 4 branch manifolds for an early 4 spd range rover and extended it to fit my 4.2 lse. No cats and sounds like a tvr..... so the police said on a 'routein' stop because they liked the noise :p I wrapped the manifolds to reduce under-bonnet heat as well.

change in back pressure wont make that much difference. its must to be something you have disturbed.

the heater pipes can be connected either way but its best not to cross them. i have heard that theres not alot of room to get to the pipes with the engine in place so i would recommend silicone hose for this so you don't have to replace it.

try it for a few weeks with the na and see if you want more power.

ive fitted a 200tdi into my series onto the original box. i have coupled this with rangie (3.5) diffs and 35" tyres. it has plenty of guts on and off road but i don like taking it over 85 because of the high revs. its still pulling strong at this speed so i dont think a 5th gear would be too...

does it have lpg? my rangie had a problem with one of the injector plugs where the lpg kit T's into the original loom. this made only 7 injectors work.

the only thing to consider is the number of brake pipes going to the front callipers. some have one per side, others have two.

did you take the headlining out and have a proper look? there are two drainage channels that often snap off and cause the water to run along the headlining and down the trim to everywhere!

this is a seat leon/ Vw golf 2.0 turbo intercooler on my series 3 200tdi. it cost £24 off ebay including postage. then about £20 for pipes. it just fits between the wings. this coupled with no silencers makes it pick up much better. next step is the fuel pump.
