    just fitted these myself on my 109 series 3...got the same as you but do not use glue as it did not work on mine....take the vents off by removing dowel pins and the 2 x 8mm nuts etc....use wd on the linkages and work it in as its easier to put the vent back on if you can move it fully...

    gearbox oil

    changed the sludge tonight and was relieved no metal bits was found:)....took it for a quick spin to circulate the oil and my gear change problem has disappeared........before it was a pain to select 1st gear from reverse but fine after...now its easy to select any:D...even cleaned the oil bath...

    we have a pump at work so its fairly easy but needs 2 people....one pumping as its not on a ramp....if i do the swivels is it better to use oil or fill with grease

    drained and refilled both diff oils and transfer box which i though would be empty but wasnt...drives alot better and it even likes low ratio 4 wheel drive not:D....reduced the whining abit so i was really pleased as i went home......just remembered the gearbox oil is not part of the engine like...

    took it into work today to paint it up...lovely jubbly:D....just need some bolts now which i will scrounge off someone then potter along next door for a piece of angle iron for the bottom bracket.....got nothing to tow but it just looks nice:D

    thats ok....fitted the wiper adapter ian but the choke cable is wrong,,,,mines on the ignition barrel shroud but cannot for the life of me find one like what i need on the net.....might try and modify the old one as the outer casing is split causing the cable to kink and not return properly....i...

    got myself the adjustable dixon bate tow bar etc but no bolts...i know i need the angle iron bracket which fits at the bottom edge of the xmember but i can make that no worries....what size bolts will i need and do i need a back plate...its for a series 3....dixon bate online fitting...

    all the bolts have been cut off from the back and rusted in....will wait till i am back at work then i can put in vice and use the windy gun on them:D

    just aquired a dixon bate tow bar for my series 3 from carboot with a 3.5 ton pin/ball coupling for a measly sum of 5 beer tokens....looks the same as the ones on paddocks site as i cannot check with my landy as its locked up at work....just rusty thats all......needs bolts only:D

    wanted to keep them original but the alloy on some were too bad to polish out and one was damaged so a repair and paint was in order....bear in mind all this work so far and i no even drove it on the road to test:eek:.....
