Hey All, My 2005 TD4 Freelander has started to throw out a lot of black smoke on acceleration so im going to give it a oil filter/oil change. Whats the best type of oil and how much would i need. Thanks in advance Rob

Hey, Still trying to figure this out. All tyres are same make etc and replaced at same time. Anti roll bars replaced only a few months ago. Noise is worse on right corners but has started doing it on both. Are we thinking CV joints!! Thanks again

Hey, I've got a 2005 Freelander TD4. When going round a corner under power there is a slight knocking noise coming from the front end. The noise is not there when accelerating in a straight line and only when going round corners. Any ideas?? Many thanks

Hey, I've just gone to open the rear door to my Freelander and the handle has part come away in my hand. If i want to reattach it do i have to take off the rear door card or can it be secured from the outside. Any help gratefully received. Cheers Rob

Hey. When i go round left corners at speed i get a banging noise from the offside front wheel. Im guessing its the CV joint. Am i right and is this an easy DIY fix. Thanks

Hey, After a short drive i noticed quite a lot of smoke coming from the hose outlet under the front bumper and a whining noise for approx 30 seconds after turning the engine off, coming from around the nearside front wheel. Im guessing this is the fuel heater making the noise and the excess...

I checked the shoes etc and they looked ok, which what made me think of the hand brake cable, Thanks for the advice. will have another look .

Hi, My handbrake is struggling to hold the vehicle. Brakes seem fine and ive adjusted the cable as much as i can. Im thinking either the cables or the compensator have stretched. Any ideas?? Cheers Rob
