    2001 td5 pressurising cooling system

Hi, I think I'm going to try a thermostat first as with snap on diagnostics it's showing 104 degrees C when fully upto temp, hoping it may just be a partially stuck stat, here's to hoping

    Losing coolant again!

Did you change the P gasket at the same time as the water pump? If not I'd guess that was your problem there's only around a 5% success rate of no leaks without doing it IMHO Sam

    2001 td5 pressurising cooling system

Sounds like I might have to take the head off after all then, Would plastic dowels cause this? Do you think I should be replacing them at the same time for steel ones? Thanks

    Clutch problem

Sounds to me like you have installed the clutch plate the wrong way round IMHO thus the clutch can't disengage, are you certain you installed it the correct way round flatter side to flywheel?

    Clutch problem

Sometimes they can be a little tight and stop it even when they've gone in nicely, have you tried starting it in gear with your foot on the clutch? That may just free it if it's all that is stoping it

    2001 td5 pressurising cooling system

Hi, I have a slight problem with my td5, it pressurises it's cooling system to the point it blows a little out, it's blowing out approx 1l to every 150 miles doing short runs more like 1l every 5-600 miles on long runs, doesn't get hot even when towing 3500kgs temp doesn't move from halfway...

    Clutch problem

Did it engage/ dis gage correctly before you replaced it? Could be 2 things if you have a good pedal, spigot bush needs reaming out or clutch plate fitted backwards

Intermittent Rough Running - Blue Smoke!!!

I would check that the injector loom is correctly plugged onto no.5 injector, had a similar prob at work when a customer replaced his own loom, if not sounds like your going to be wanting an injector Sam
