did whaddon and abused it drive home and it was fine, drove this morning on the motorway and its not shifting into top gear. tried shifting through 1 2 3 D but that didnt help either, the exhuast is blowing badly at the manifold or down pipe quite badly now, are there ay quick things to check...

hey kev, yep looking at a steering guards at the moment in various mags, a few times it was pretty close to the mark bottoming out, what tyres have you got on yours? 235/70/16's? and your on std suspension right?

thought youd appreciate some more pics of me stuck on road tyres at whaddon today, here here and here......

that will be me then...... started out ok got there at 9am and had the place to myself for a bit and it didnt seem to be so churned up and slippy on road tyres, towards the end of the day though it was ridiculous i could barely move a few yards without getting stuck may as well not have had...

gutted i cant do ashwell on saturday but am doing whaddon on sunday :-) rangey, any rangey spares that you wanna sell let me know too, if spurs dont want em, ps spurs im in potters bar as well, and i hooked up with some local lads that go out night laning if you want to join us. i'll let you...

yep its all kev's fault :D he took me out in his rangey and that was the decider to go out and get one. dead is probably too strong it failed its mot on a ball joint, sill, brake pipes and a couple other bits so fingers crossed get it back this week

looks like im missing out again, were off in the caravan. so the rangey has been sat outside the house collecting dust although its been pressed into service as my daily car since the new disco broke down too! been at Land Rover in Welwyn, new steering box and engine wiring loom complete...

gutted i cant come up in the rangie on sunday, weve got a party at our so i guess i need to be there, will def be up for the next one though, feel free to pm me with any mid week lanes too

was out til gone midnight out on some lanes out nr hemel and beyond with a few guys i met up with, had a great first time out on the lanes and at night too which was interesting! the car performed perfectly although definitely needs decent tyres and some front recovery points, looking forward to...

yep still smiling, despite the amazingly short amount of time ive had em both theyve both caused me grief...... but its part of the appeal! and the RRC is a fine looking machine not a stranger to "classic" car ownership, got a split screen vw campervan in the garage, just didnt think the disco...

my disco is going in to the garage that i got it from tomorrow as its ****ing oil from somewhere dripping onto the steering damper and anti roll, loving land rover ownership...... will wait and see what the garage will charge to get he car going again, if its too much i will get it back on the...

cheers for the advice kev, got it running really well on petrol just over 500 with the stepper in, just lumpy on lpg to the point of cutting out at low revs, its fine on a run though, so until i can afford to sort it will maybe just use gas for the motorway? the exhaust downpipes are blowing...
