aye, very wet indeed. ahve broken the disco too, the water came in through the door handles it was that high on the passenger side and filled up to the bottom of the dash :-) got it home ok and it drove fine later on, but its dead now.... suspect the alarm/immobiliser is knacked

Got my range rover back with new autobox so its all lovely, started looking at tyres and suspension mods, then saw a monster 300tdi for sale round the corner to my house er and bought that instead...... any one in Herts want a sorted Green Laner V8 itrs on ebay and ive spent around a grand on it...

ive got a 91 vogue se on LPG, no leather no cruise no electrics anywhere just windows. , no sunroof.... i paid 450 for mine and spent 400 straight away on welding and mot, the exhaust was ropey so renewed the manifolds with really good second hand ones, new down pipes and y pipe, 100 , apart...

the rangey is getting a new (well low mileage second hand) gearbox today finally i can get out with you lot :-)

i got towed by his dad and yep he is 9, his dad owns RandC4x4, sell tyres and off road gear on ebay... not sure i like the idea of 9 yr olds tanking around the place though

thanks for that, been on the phone and it would seem that the first thing to do would be the oil change on the autobox, so will have a go at that on friday. fingers crossed......

kev, my local mechanic has a couple of classics in his yard, pm me your number and i'll text you if will let me buy the part of him, or borrow it?(think he uses them for parts for his) im taking mine in there in the morning as its still not shifting properly. failing that you can borrow the unit...

thanks for the advice guys, so the wiring the ECU stems from behind the dash so i guess its a fairly straight forward task to disconnect and move to the dash, will look at that and see how scarey a job it looks..... RTV silicon? is that instant gasket from Halfords and just simply seal the base...
