Sounds like your wiring for stalk might be a bit off.

Check your grounds. If you move sender manual how does the gauge read?

I plan to put mounts in my 64 but remove the belts and cover the mounts for testing. Just a piece of mind but couldn't be bothered with the testing.

Fitted my battery box and pulled looms in. Made up battery terminals. Started on fuse box. Put hole in bulkhead for dash loom. Tried starting it on the key with no joy :( seems I'm going to have to put a starter relay in.

Don't know. I'm out tomorrow so can have a look. I know it's not a massive job removing the head to check gasket. But is it worth it? Going to look at tappets tomorrow. Got feeler gauges today.

Was advised to get the 2.5 as it's a bigger bore. Ended up cutting it. Fits a treat now. But for some reason the joint between the drop pipe and front pipe is very loose.

I know place that is very very good at fixing ECUs. Give me a shout if you want their details.
