Hi, I have a 1997 110 300tdi, ocassionally when I go to start it, I get ignition lights but nothing else, I've just removed an aftermarket immobilzer just in case and was wondering if there is a starter relay that's easy to change before I go down the starter motor route ? Thanks

Hi, I have a 1997 300tdi, I have been meaning to blank off the EGR but somebody suggested that by uncoupling an electrical plug on small black box under the passenger seat that this will stop the EGR valve from operating. Is this true ?? many thanks

my viscous fan seems to be permanently locked, whether it is hot or cold its impossible to move it more than a few mm by hand, I was originally thinking of changing the viscous unit which costs around 50 squid until people started singing the praises of going electric.

looks like its an electric fan then ! Some people have seem to have fitted all sorts of different fans from the scrappy but it would still need some kind of thermostat to switch it on or do you reckon a switch on the dash is sufficient if you all think the fan won't be needed very often. Or...

There seems to be mixed feelings on this forum about taking the electric fan route, I initially thought an electric fan was a safe and easy option as supposedly in normal conditions a defender doesnt really require the permanent cooling of the viscous fan ..... I don't know ! I've just checked...

someone told me that clutch fluid is "hydr*??@" sommat or other, means it has special properties - apparantly it absorbs water, so i reckon if I have any left I'm gonna paint me footwells with it.

Hi, I'm new to the Landyzone and new to Landys, I have just had a 110 300tdi refurbished and I'm well chuffed ! Even the wife likes it ! Only 1 small teething problem, the diff engages but the warning light doesn't show, can anyone explain where the switch is and is it easy to check ? Thanks
