Well you can buy a complete filter kit from Paddocks or wherever for less than a tenner, including oil air and fuel

Hmmmm, ok,cheers Dave, on mine, the thermostat one is much smaller. When I changed the thermostat I cleaned up the housing and saw what I thought was corrosion around the outside threaded hole as it seemed to be cratered or concave and there's just a plain bolt around 10 or 10mm bunged in there...

Ok, are the thermostat housing bleed screw and the radiator bleed screw (ie the 2 plastic or brass plugs) both supposed to be the same size?

I'm in Spain too and have a similar problem - previous owner dealt with it though - by chopping off the pipes and bypassing the matrix so it's a job I'll maybe have to do before winter - it does actually get cold here! Where in Spain are you? I'll be interested to know how you get on. Cheers Rich

Doesn't sound like big ends! Big end bearings gone makes a helluva racket and generally the engine stops and yer oil pressure drops....that's what happened on my VN750 anyway!

How do you mean, runs out of true? It may be a problem with the long grippy thing that holds the bottom of the window edge? They do rot
