I think the only difference is that reverse is in a different place. I currently don't need a gearbox change but it's useful to know that you can interchange 'em as it can be tricky to source spares over here should the occasion arise. Does the earlier box fit directly with no modification at...

I think my previous Disco had a small fuel leak somewhere, never did find it. Very occasionally wouldn't start or was lumpy starting. I found that if I pumped the fuel lift pump little lever a few times first it would fire up nicely.

Hmmm, mine gets hot (not in red) under load when I put the aircon on, I was gonna flush the rad but I might bite the bullet and buy a new 'un. It sounds like it's pretty easy to whip it out, I was reading haynes and that manages to make it sound quite complicated and time consuming

Kwik Fit weren't very good with mine, didn't seem to know how to operate the equipment properly, insisted I had a leak, didn't try to empty the old gas first but still took my money! Got refund and took to specialist who was mobile but good, took a while and did proper job with dye and lube etc...
