Have you lubricated all bushes? give em a squirt one at time and try it after each one so you know which one was the offending bush. Squirt every bush I had this on an a frame ball joint on a 300 disco......

I wouldn't know about the ECU been reprogrammed. The compressor and all the other business is still there, i don't get warning lights or the SLS light never ever come on. I will measure the drain again.. I will check Ah and CCA when I get back home. What's your thinking I am intrigued.....

Alternator is GWO - no vac pump. I do have a brand new vac pump but it's not on the alternator. What is it you need vac pump on its own or alty?

No it's on springs? Was converted when I bought it.

Are any of the red led lights for immobilisor flashing when you lock/unlock the doors? There's a tiny led in the middle of either the dash binnicle or sometimes under the radio. The second pic is an aftermarket immob set up. Do the lights flash on that?

Silly suggestion but I have seen it before.... You have deffo got the fuel lines connected back on the correct way, feed and return?

Lazy/sticking caliper/pads would be my guess. Sounds like a severe imbalance to me. you could take the front prop off and drop it on a set of brake rollers to give you a proper reading, drive to the garage with front prop off in diff lock (slowly)

The first one I bought V8, was to use its heart in a defender "project" that I had on the go, but...as I'm not the most patient of people I just used used it until it died. The 300tdi i now own is just a workhorse, use it for shooting and as something to just run about in, bought it 3 years ago...
