Yep under the boot floors a good place to check. Mine needs replacing very soon but aint leaking yet so I hope it makes it till payday! You wont be able to see that much fuel tank through the inspection hole. This was taken with the boot floor removed.

The cable would be there if one was fitted to it when it came out the factory. Dont know if they all had a cable as standard incase of upgrade or not though.

Spill off pipes between injectors. The sound deadening cover on mine rubbed holes in the pipes. Realy easy to change just pull old ones off and push new ones on. If it is the pipes just go to a auto parts supplier and buy it by the meter. 1 meter (£2-£3) should do the job twice. No clips or...
