    this looks v nice

No metion of service history or current faults. Why? Don't be dragged in by something shiney looking, despite the old adage, you can polish a turd and it seems with cars, people often do! That said it might be in fine working order. I'd just say, be careful, go and have a look at it first.

    ** Two Questions - Help **

Brakes could be something as simple as having not been properly bleeded when they changed the discs and pads (if they disconected and then reconnected the calipers, letting air in). Is there alot of travel in the brake pedal or is it quite firm? But I would have thought that a 4x4 dealer...

    Should I paint 'em?

Alot! I phoned a couple of places for a quote on my L322 which surface area wise can't be too different friom a RRC, and they were saying £1500-2000. And it only lasts 3 years then you need to get it re-done. You can probably get a full respray for £2k if you search around a bit. So at the...

    Stainless exhaust

A diesel with straight through pipes? Does that not sound horrendous? Its one thing to bring out a nice sounding petrol V8, but amplifying the sound of agriculture?! Can't imagine it quite has the same effect!?

    serious shudder

I second this. Seems to be a fairly common problem on L322s. Get wheels balanced first, that is easy and cheap. Sorted mine out fine. If its still a problem then look at other things.

    Auto Transmission Fluid

How simple is it to do this job? I have to admit I haven't even looked into it, but my RR is now over 98k miles so I guess I should consider it soon? What sort of milages were yours when you did it? Is there an idiots guide out there anywhere?

small noise in front while driving my RR SC

Sounds like a whistle? That'll be your supercharger old boy. Not a problem, enjoy that whistle in the knowledge its giving you a fair bit of extra kick!

    Stainless exhaust

Haha, cheers! Although not had an MOT dramas with mine - although there is nothing wrong on it so I'd hope not. I wasn't planning on de-catting anyway, I'm quite happy with my stainless steel system as it is. I was just making the point in case others on here are planning on doing it and then...

    Stainless exhaust

All these guys using no cats, is that legal? Does it pass MOT ok or do you have to stick the original back on each year to MOT then take it off again?

    Dippy Girl Question

Would the tyre size also not need changing too? Am I right in thinking the entire wheel+tyre diameter on a L322 is greater than on a Sport? If not then I'll shut up!

    Insurance

Wish I could get anywhere near any of the numbers you guys having been talking about. I'm being whacked for £729 a year with a £500 excess! Oh to be young!

    Stainless exhaust

I'd say you are looking at £500 upwards. I got one through Quicksilver with nice tips and details on it for £750 (negotiated down from £950 start price). Sounds lovely. That was for a L322 though, they don't list P38s, but I reckon if you asked they'd probably make one for you. p.s. make sure...

    Cheapest for LPG conversion...

I'm not suggesting that LPG isn't a good idea. I bet when you had yours converted (or the previous owner?) you/they looked for a good value system that worked and would be reliable, covered by guarantee etc? What I'm speaking out against is people trying to do things as cheap as possible...

    Cheapest for LPG conversion...

This sounds like another classic case of someone trying to run a RR on the cheap - it simply isn't possible. Yes, you can save money here and there by finding indy garages, searching around for spares etc, but at the end of the day they are inherently expensive beasts to run. Don't try to scimp...

Performance Exhaust for MY2010 Range Rover 5.0L V8 Supercharged..?

I've got a Quicksilver one on mine, sounds very nice and looks good (I think so anyway). They are a Brit company, so delivery is likely to be quicker, although likely have to make you one as they don't stock for every model all the time. They also don't do fitting, but any decent indy garage...

want a range rover so confused can u help

Someone is seeing you off if you are paying £400 a year tax. Shouldn't be more than £225 for a pre 2006 car (any car!). MPG for my 4.4 is around 20 on the motorway, 17 around town driving conservatively. p.s. original poster - any chance of some full stops? Makes sentances much easier to...

What's more economical? RR vogue 4.4 or RR vogue diesel?

944? 928? Panamera? Cayenne? Not many porsches out there with V8s, not sure I've ever heard one to be honest. Anyway.... off topic!
  19. Voguely

What's more economical? RR vogue 4.4 or RR vogue diesel?

Agreed, the 4.4's are by all accounts fairly solid, its the rest of the car its attached to which causes dramas!

What's more economical? RR vogue 4.4 or RR vogue diesel?

Is that a real question? What is more economical a 4.4 petrol or a 3.0 diesel?! Really? Anyway in terms of ownership its 6 and two 3s, the 4.4's are more powerful and sound nicer, and their gearboxes seem to be more solid. The 3.0's will be under powered but more fuel efficient, but seem to...
