u will see there is a thin black wire that goes to back of head unit, if that is plugged in then just take it to a dealer let them sort it out under warrenty

yes u will see two slots at bottom of head unit, there on the face so u cant mistake them

u need someting about the same width as a tea spoon handle but has to be thin enough to go into slots at bottom of stereo, push in then pull head unit out :)

yes you can its is a kit with all wires that go right back to the ecu (slabs ecu)

as stated in previous post the front gaiter is not sold seperatly, not at a deaaler any way, but as ian says hopefully you can get an aftermarket one :P

no ird is a seprate, the only thing you need to worry about is the fact that front prop cv joints are not a servicable item, so you wont be able to buy any parts to fix it, so its either a good bodge req or a front propshaft

grease in joints will be a very dark grey colour the front prop grease does seem to have less viscosity

it sounds like you will need to reprogram the fobs which is carried out on l/r diag machine, i take it it is pre 01model year? the plip remote has to be by the ignition barrel to mobilse the engine, hence if this does not work then the eka code has to be inputted every time you want t o start...

oic i thought you were comparing td4 and 1.8 petrol. ur deisel is also diiferent box to the td4

you say u have vibration, does this work its way through the gearstick, if so you might just need to cut the damper down on the gear linkage which is connected to the gearbox, doesnt always work but worth a go :)

diesel box is made by getrag and is totally different to 1.8 petrol, the getrag manual is the only manual for td4 so u should have no issues gettin right one if you ask for td4 manual gearbox,
