What about the bike - that will probably take some time to repair...

If the battery has been off - then the windows and sunroof will need re-setting - just open them fully then close them fully, should then show as set on the dash.
There is a bonnet switch to the off side of the slam panel - check that out
I can't think of any 'technical' reason why youcouldn't wax oil your Rangie, but don't forget, it IS a Range Rover, so you will be spending quite a bit of time underneath it - as long as you don't mind getting guey....

Downloaded Microcat and looked through that instead - they do not show the inverter anywere that I could see - doesn't seem to be a search system on it either - so gave up and checked out fleebay again - lo and behold, some kind person was selling the ECU with the inverter together - that wasn't...
you did better than me - I got 24v :doh: But then I can't understand these mutant meters either :confused: - I just assumed I was right and the meter was an idiot (I work in IT) and carried onwards until I realised it was the inverter (2 failed tests on that one...)
Just done my tests - hopefully did them right and it seems to point to the inverter, unfortunatly there seems to be two types...

Now I am not sure which one to buy for my !997 4.6 HSE - if someone knows it will save ma taking the bloomin trim off again..
I have just done the RAVE tests on my Cruise with a multi meter - not sure of some of the readingd (was expecting 13v and got 24v...) but I think I have narrowed the problem down to the inverter thingy (just shows how technical I am) - now where's my hammer......
