How to Change a Turning Signal Bulb on Discovery I?

If you look in there you will see a metal spring clip with a loop about 1 1/2" in diameter on it, its a thin wire spring clip and it clips the housing to the wing, just pull it and unclip it from th inner wing and the whole unit can be removed from the wing. Have a look at this pic, you can see...

How to Change a Turning Signal Bulb on Discovery I?

How to Change a Turning Signal Bulb on Discovery I?

What model and year? Mines a 94 300TDI and is totally different to your so I'm assuming yours is earlier? On mine there is a metal spring clip that holds the indicator in the wing, you simply release this by unhooking it and the whole unit comes out, then simply turn the bulb holder half a...

MOT passed but 4WD question arose.

I find it slightly more alarming that the garage, with its specialist rollers for 4x4s didn't know if it was right or not!!

MOT passed but 4WD question arose.

I don't see why not, give it a try and let us know. You'll need to go out and find some really slippery mud though and get yourself stuck! :D In fact I think there would be less likelihood of Stalling in an Auto.

MOT passed but 4WD question arose.

How many people know about Manual Traction Control? A great technique once mastered. It basically involves standing on the Brake pedal with the left foot and then slowly releasing the brakes and balancing the revs, this will trick the Diff into thinking there is traction and applying drive to...

    Frount & Rear Springs

Hi, My Disco is my daily drive, and I also do a lot of miles every year in it, also a lot of towing. One of the main reasons I decided against the lift was the cost of replacing trailing arms and all the other bits that would have needed to have been changed to make it practical to drive every...

Yes but you will need to get busy with the Angle Grinder. There is a very good thread on here about it. Go to the search and type in Head Light upgrade.

    Gutted

Spent a few hours today removing the lower link arms to get at the broken bracket, the idea was if it was just the weld that had gone, I would re-weld it on until the new Brackets come on Thursday. No such luck there was nothing to weld back! So spent an hour grinding off the old bracket ready...

    Just rescued the Bin men...

No It was taken by a neighbour who we rarely see, I think she works odd hours, as soon as I bump into her which we usually do in Tesco's, I'll ask her. Incidentally we did get the Grit bin that we'd complained about not having for about 10 years! I assume it was down to the bin men, they said...
