I use it for protecting welded patches etc. But I use schutz for a full coating. Both are very good stuff, but very messy. So prepare to wear some old ****ty clothes if you'll be doing it on the floor, you'll get covered, and it's a pain to wash off.

Any time really. With a rich mixture of petrol and lpg there's a high chance of knock, which you may notice at all times. Plus your spark plugs would be filthy and stink of fuel.

From what I've seen of P38s (with the right tyres, and suspension raised) they were extremely impressive off road. I thought the challenge was just to keep them working :D

I had one in a 525D, I actually thought it was 'okay'. I had it chipped and then it was 'alright' I'd certainly have thought in a RR it would be comparable performace wise with a Discovery TDi. Although admittedly, I've never owned, nor driven a P38 with any engine.

Sounds like it's not switching over properly, which could also mean it's over fueling. Is it pinking?

Depends how much you want it. If it really is a good deal, it's worth a couple of quid for an HPI check, and a couple of calls to insurance and police. It sounds dodgy, but not everything necessarily is.

If it's an electric one, any electric motor can burn out, or maybe it has a thermal cut out? Let it cool and try it again, but make sure it's electrically safe first! Did you go to Andrew Page by any chance?

Same as Discos really, since they're essentially the same thing. Sills, inner wings, rear floors. Having been bobtailed though, the latter will have been attended to. As a side note, the GMC diesel engines are really quite heavy, so will drop the front a bit if on standard load springs.

As has already been pointed out though, if the fluid out of the gearbox is as bad as he's confirming it is, the box IS knackered. There's no point doing a service on a gearbox that is going to have to come out.
