    insurance discount

Admiral told me that it was cheaper to register my P38 as parked on the street rather than the obviously safer driveway because "our statistics show that most Range Rovers are stolen from driveways"...

cranking and taking ages to start

Failing/failed glow plugs show up on diagnostics don't they?

    Winch power usage?

Some had a 150A one, not sure when that came in though

    P38 Front air springs

Is anything easy on the V8?

    P38 Front air springs

If you PM Datatek and ask him to send you his airbag replacement guide I think he suggests a way of avoiding this - but his is a diesel and I'm not sure if the layout is the same on the petrol (if yours is a petrol). From looking at RAVE it doesn't look too unpleasant to remove the liners in...

V8 Rangie as a winter hack?

Same with mine over 2 years, had numerous little things to mend/replace (air springs, oil cooler pipes, radiator, battery, RF receiver, CD player, HEVAC, gas struts, instrument panel lights... but realistically not too much, and she never broke down on me! (well.. did have to stand up and not...

    Considering selling up :(

I'd get some pictures that aren't taken in access mode as that looks like it has an EAS fault.. assuming it doesn't have an EAS fault :P Otherwise, just make sure that everything on it works, then you should get some good interest from people on test drives :)

Front air bags and light clusters

Hi chaps, With the departure of my P38, I have no further reason to keep a set of front air bags and light clusters that I had stored for the inevitable! They've all been kept in a dry garage since purchase. As such, if anyone would like either of these for a reasonable discount from...

It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for.

Thanks :) I don't expect I'll be after another car for quite a few years, but if I do I'll be sure to let you know so you can mock whatever piddly hatchback it is :P

It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for.

Farewell chaps, After a year and a half with my P38, the nature of student life has persuaded me to sell her on to a new home, to which she left for this morning. I think that home will be a good one, and she will receive far more attention than I can give her with only being at home for half...

    Advice Please

Is there any coolant loss? It may no longer be at the correct pressure. Otherwise, check that the radiator is getting hot all over, and PM Datatek for his fan mod :)

    First Time Towing - unimpressed!

Of course it isn't with a P38 in it XD

    Fip rebuild

Thanks :) In the engines before ECUs was there any sort of mechanical equivalent that did the same job? Or is that why carburetted engines are a pain the start? :P

    Fip rebuild

Is the wear random in the sense that all FIPs are slightly different, or that it depends on driving styles over the 100000 miles?

    Fip rebuild

I saw Datatek somewhere saying that the FIP can last a very long time; does the servo need replenishing to make this happen, or is it a little random?

    service gearbox (auto)?

Follow the guide ;) http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/p38-auto-gearbox-filter-change-136345.html From my experience: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the bolts on the sump because they will break... Also from me.. this was the least pleasant job I have ever done on my P38 :P but you may have an easier job...

    headlight adjustment

+1 Is it definitely sitting level? It seems unlikely that 2 non motorised lights would simultaneously move up..
