I love it Jack... Its more rolling hills than Welsh mountains but a good mix of tight, twisty, rocky, wooded and few good fords to boot too!! Come visit when I'm back!! So much on your door step, I can take 3 decent byways just to get to Sainsburys...

Definitely, like I said I'm going back to shropshire full time end of May so its literally only half hour to Welsh border and I like to go at least once a month!! South Shropshire has some decent lanes too, I also wanna try Wiltshire/Sailsbury way and return to the Lakes... Quite a bit to fit in!!

Cool... Might tackle this over summer along with replacing suspension... Hoping to get a new job and a company car so will make life easier!! I'm beginning to think most things Britpart make are a little cheap and not worth it, shame as they're local to me when I'm in Shropshire and I'd rather...

Best electrical problem/advice I've had all ends up with the same solution... Bad earth... Clean up the battery earth and connection on chassis, remove any additional accessories connected to the battery and see if that solves it, double check for a short/bad earth in any auxiliary electrics...

I know... Gutted!! :( However I am looking at moving back to Shropshire end of next month so next time your close I'll catch ya!! I'm still hoping to make the odd pub meet too! If you ever fancy coming this way for a weekend I'll show ya round!!

Firstly... I'm gonna stick up for Paul a bit as he's helped me in the past with lane info etc... and although never met have done a lot of work on lanes in Shropshire through various local organisations and whilst id not take a cruiser laning it would be a serious contender for an overlander...

I'm looking at getting some of this spray stuff in this months LRO mag, its a lubricant but freezes the rusted nuts and bolts down to about -40 degrees to allow them to contract therefore creating space to allow lubricant to penetrate... I know it sometimes works but heat makes things expand...

Hey mate!! Google a company called 'Green Oval Racing' my mate has a 90 done by them which will go faster than an Mitsu Evo.. He has had his lowered and has a 5ltr supercharged RR V8 lump in it... Purely a track car but there are lowering kits and plenty of people who do it!! Hope you find...

Gutted I can't make Wales now!! :( ah well penty of time for trips over the summer!! Plus still need to strip and look at my CV's front bearings! The second battery + split charge system seems to have solved a dodgy earthing problem so really need to clean up my other battery earth too!!

Not tuned it yet... but i have a friend who is a mod on that forum and he has a friend who owns a tuning company and has a chipped programmed for a 300tdi and in the past has done several. Its a couple of hundred quid to do it all properly but he says it makes a huge difference... when driven...

Take a look around the Turbo Diesel Owners Club UK forum. There are plenty of bods there who can help with tuning etc. There are HUGE gains to be had with torque and BHP with the 300tdi engine, it will benefit both off and on road performance and MPG if driven properly!! To do it properly it...
