    Sounds like........

Most likely something you've disturbed, probably where manifold joins rest of pipe.

    can someone identify this noise?

I wouldn't think it's the donut if it gets loader when turning. More likely to be front diff or similar. Or maybe even tyre pressures

    Extended breathers where to?

And to answer your question in a civilised manner Brian. I bought the wing moulding, the top and the flexi off eBay, I had the stainless tube lying around and I fabricated the rest to suit my vehicle.

Hi guys, I've recently fitted a Southdown snorkel to my 300tdi disco, had to modify it slightly as I have a 2nd battery where the original air intake is, so made a new hole through the innerwing and into airbox. I now want to fit my extended breathers. I don't really want a pipe running up the...

Disco 300tdi What are these cables and mounting points meant for?

I'm sure Landrover just put extra wires in to confuse you. Mine has electric everything and there are still wires that don't connect to anything.

    Disco 300tdi pressurizing

Removing the thermostat won't do it any good, it puts too much pressure on the head and is more likely to blow head gasket, check water pump as mentioned and also ejector valve (little black disc in the line under the header tank with 3 pipes to it. These often fail and cause problems.

    ujs and front hubs

If you've got a noise that sounds like a worn bearing, I'd start by looking for a worn bearing:D

    front prop

Yes, no problem, I ran with no front prop for a few months. Took it off to replace UJ's and found out it went sideways quite well so I left it off a while. Although John from work says he drove a disco 60miles with no front prop and it blew the transfer box up..... we can him BS John!!!

I think it's on the side of the thermostat housing but could be wrong.

    300 tdi power loss

Yeah, it's got a long way to suck fuel on discos, thick fuel (oil) will bollox it up quicker. A preheater is a good idea if you plan on using svo in future.
