    Flashing Oil Light

I don't really know what I am looing for. I assume the power supply is because it is an electrical gauge. I had a look on paddocks but the search came up blank. Any ideas where I could find one? Thanks

    Flashing Oil Light

How do I fit a pressure gauge?? How do I flush it out and with what?? Sorry to sound so ignorant but I am this ignorant about this stuff. The mechanic did say that I should maybe change the oil and filter but to use a really cheap and nasty oil as it will be thicker which might help. Does that...

I don't think so that is what mine does and I aksed at the start of this thread and it is because the handbrake holds the rear prop solid. If you want to check the UJ's see if there is any play in the joints at the end. I wish I could explain it better but I am just new to this so I am not sure...

    Flashing Oil Light

Hi, I changed the oil pressure sender unit and the garage adjusted the idle speed and also checked the pressure and said it was fine. The light hadn't flashed for ages and the mechanic said that he could spend for ever looking for the problem and still not find it. He also said that I should be...

    Propshafts

Hi, I am completly new to working on cars so I am a bit unsure what jobs are easy. Thanks for the help. Is the UJ joint just the cross bit in the yoke or is it the whole assembley at the end of the prop? Lamriska can is twist your front prop or is it play in the UJ's?

So I take it a couple of mill is a bit excessive then? I have looked in Haynes and it seems a simple enough job but it got 3 spanners so is there something to make it harder than it sounds? The grease gun is quite simple and I have just put a new cartridge in the gun but I can't seem to get it...

Yeah I suppose but if he isn't going to be carrying loads of people he would be better of with a hardtop in my opinion. Also there would be less places for it to leak as water ****es in my windows in the back when it rains.

I would say the 110 station wagon looks better but I still think the hardtop is more suited to carry bikes.

Thanks Griff, the grease gun handle just pumps but the grease stays in the cartridge. I have tried several things but still does nothing, also the nipple on the rear UJ is loose and the UjJ is covered in grease. I assume that isn't the way its meant to be.

    Propshafts

Hi all, I was just checking the propshafts and the front propshaft turns a little bit by hand where as the rear one doesn't move at all, is that because the rear is held with the handbrake? Also how much play is acceptable on the UJ's as the very back one has about a couple of mill of play...

I think Station wagons are more expensive and if you want to leave your bike in the back. It will be harder for people to see it making it less tempting to steal, if its a decent bike, in the hard top.

I would say the 110 as well. I have one and it would be perfect for your needs.
