IM diffo no expert but i have the same problem an was told i need new rear diff mounts, a local lr specialist could atleast confirm that for you or get it up on a lift or stand an check the rear diff mounts to see if there ok, hope that helps mate, check my previous post for what others said...

Ok just ordered the allisport egr next up is silicone hoses, does the 2002 td4 have sensors? As in looking at the dph silicones hoses an they do the full set of hoses but it asks whether you want the hoses with or without sensors? Ohhh my little beauty is going to be running so much smoother...

Sorry for not being clear guys its a td4 2002 Freelander, when the car is off it goes down to zero but once i start the ignition it sits at about 750. I wasn't too sure if that was normal? If i rev obv it goes up but with my foot off the peddle it sits at about 750. Cheers guys

hi all, off to a lr specialist tomorrow to get the rear diff an vcu checked as advised by you guys, also changed the air filter today but couldn't get that bolt at the back of the cover back on... Dam thing lol anyway... todays problem, rev counter is allway at 750rpm when car is idle an never...

Hahaha ohhh now in completely lost lol how do i tell if the vcu is truely knackered then? On a side note today it felt alot better on a full turn reverse so in not too sure what to do , atleast i can sort the rear diff mounts , so do i order front diff mount too or just the rear ? I did do one...
