Ok my beautiful new exhaust is now on, shes 2.5 inch diameter, dummy cat then vortex exhaust piece then small back box an she sounds wicked... Not really louder but a deeper tone an you hear the turbo whistle up ad shes compressing the air. really really impressed with the company that did it...

Had an idea today to sand blast the original alloys an get them polished up to come up a nice chrome an was wondering if anyone had done it? Or is there a reason not to do it?

Ooooo there's allways a new noise that gets to me.... ok when turning the steering wheel right whether driving or stationery there's a creeking noise on each turn coming from the front right side.... literally creeks with each slight turn of the steering wheel but only turning right, sounds...

So mate if it was your Freelander td4 an you wanted to get the most you could out of it considering all the mods im doing what exact exhaust system would you go with from the turbo back? An why?

Started reading about the vortex exhaust parts an am thinking of using one of those instead of the back box an maybe even both? Also emailed the aero turbine people about a quote hmmmmmmmm

IM really trying to be sympathetic to the engine by doing the exhaust an intercooler first as i know there be no real gains until ivr remapped her but in going to wait to remap her until her new turbo is done along with the injectors, even got a quote last week for a beautiful custom manifold...

Decent thanx for the advice all so does this sound right then? im going to order the full exhaust system from the turbo back with a dummy cat, no centre silencer an a smaller box on the rear, pipes in a 2.5 an ill go with whatever the garage thinks in regards to smaller back box. thanx again...

I get that but what in asking is why keep a box box instead of just having a smaller centre silencer? Whats the reasoning behind it?
