Should I complain about an MOT station

The testers have a tool for poking holes. If they can make a hole with this plastic toffee hammer then it's a fail. If you old place just circles things rather than having a poke. It probably should have failed last time or time before! But how would they no without poking it. Look on the mot...

    A-Frame ball joint boot split

In all cases but this one ill agree. Biggest hammer always wins :p How to use a hammer properly Was beaten into me before I learn how to use any other tools. Hit it hard once rather than lots of taps (I'm not suggesting anyone doesn't no how to use a hammer)

Some pics of my Disco :D

Nice idea have done it on one of the traybacks. But none of this fancy braided stuff. Copper all the way and then the shortest ordinary £6 rubber flexes I could find with the standard fittings. It's constantly caked in mud so sexy isn't needed lol :)

So hers abit more then mr noisy. ;) Got the ladder all finished. It was supplied with some rivnuts which is nice but I suspect not many people have a tool to fit them! I do but it happens to be broken. So a few holes and some "bodgebolts" it's on and much handier than climbing up the spare...

TD5 defender alternator SNAPPED off ?

They do still charge If the pullys seized. How long you owned car? Could have been a botched job before?

TD5 defender alternator SNAPPED off ?

Never seen one snap off bit if its a over running pull that's seized up that will cause a lot of stress on stuff... If you spin the pully in normal direction and stop it does the inside part keep spinning.

    A-Frame ball joint boot split

Just take the taper end off ball joint out of axel. No need to remove completly. And if the nut is tight enough to break the taper out of its place or won't tighten up again. Put a bottle jack onit and push it in untill joint don't spin either on or off
